About Me

I’m a passionate visual artist, dedicated to inspiring others to nurture and reconnect with their own creativity.

My love for art began in high school, when my teacher displayed my oil paintings in the hallway. That early encouragement grew even stronger at Sam Houston State University, where I minored in art. Now retired, I carry a sketchbook everywhere I go. I specialize in colored pencil pet portraits, pen and ink drawings, and creating personal watercolor cards. I’m drawn to artwork that uses humor, emotion, and texture to tell a story.

I teach Sketching for the Soul at the Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center, and I also offer private drawing lessons for both adults and children.

My advice for beginners:
“Draw something every day, even if it’s just a cup or a pencil. Color your world and never stop learning.”
